Graduation Ceremony
Celebrate with your new friends the completion of your American Semester Program Short Course! Take part in an American style graduation (after decorating your grad cap) and celebrate with your professors.
After successfully completing this short course, participants will have gained the following skills and knowledge:
Assessment
Exercises: (50%)
Developing as an entrepreneur requires practice. These exercises will assist the student in “experiencing” entrepreneurship. Most deliverables are team projects designed to move each team from idea to final pitch presentation. The exercises tend to build off of one another so it is necessary that students are diligent with attendance and that they develop strong communication habits with their group members to ensure work is done in a timely and professional manner.
Final Pitch: (25%)
Being able to articulately sell your idea and business plan is a critical skill necessary for success. Students will work in teams to prepare a business model (based on exercises outlined above) and develop a five-minute investor/sales pitch for a live presentation to the class.
Participation: (25%)
The most important aspect of this course is the student’s willingness to participate fully in all exercises and discussions, come to class prepared, and show curiosity regarding the subject matter.
